This 75-minute slow-paced class is composed of poses held up to 5 minutes. Beginning with the grounding practice of pranayama (controlled breathing), we set the pace breathwise for a class of poses that are held low and closer to the mat. No worries, there are no standing poses for 5 minutes!
These poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—so as to increase flexibility and circulation. This practice is very meditative and helps the practitioner to experience a deep and fulfilling practice. What takes many regular Yoga classes to achieve, Yin can help you feel more stretched and limber in one class.
